56,762 SAR raised for C4K (Crayons 4 Kids) LRC Read-a-thon
The final tally is in! The ISG Dhahran campus community raised 56,762 SAR ($15,136) for Crayons 4 Kids (C4K)!
This exceeds our $10,000 goal, which is both exciting and humbling. The American Community School of Amman, Jordan, sends us a huge thank-you for this amazing accomplishment and for helping to get crayons and coloring books into the hands of needy children.
This couldn’t have happened without everyone’s contribution: the students at all three Dhahran Campus schools who were so creative and diligent in fundraising, the teachers who helped to promote C4K and collect donations, the LRC library team, and the parents who helped support the cause. A special thank-you to those who bought and promoted the LRC library tote bag, which raised 8800 SAR ($2346) for C4K.
This past week, students from DBGS, DEMS and DHS traveled Jordan to partner with American Community School of Amman to deliver boxes of crayons and coloring books to children of refugees at community centers in Amman.
This wraps up our first-ever, campus-wide LRC Read-a-thon. Thanks for the shared effort of all three schools and to the entire ISG community– students, teachers, staff, and parents – for working together to make this happen. Stay tuned for an overview of the ISG student trip to Jordan.
Best regards, and Happy Reading from the LRC!
