Greetings! This is my fifth year working with the Learning Commons Library team as teacher-librarian. A strong advocate for literacy, education, and the arts, I hail from New Mexico, U.S.A.

Check out our  fun, one-minute video  that introduces the librarians and Learning Commons staff.

A teacher for over two decades, I have taught all levels of students in Language Arts, English Literature, communications, information technology, multimedia, and library skills.  Although I have worked in public and private schools in America, I have spent most of my career at international schools in Honduras, Bolivia, Myanmar, China and now Saudi Arabia. A certified librarian with a Masters in School Library and Information Technologies, I also have a Masters in Educational Technology.

In the library, I work with students to encourage them to be strong readers and lifelong learners.  With telecommunication tools, we are able to connect to other students in the world using digital tools and support learners as they use and create information. I collaborate with teachers to support their classroom lessons and offer lessons in research skills, effective search strategies, digital citizenship and electronic database use to secondary students.

Stop by the Learning Commons Library to check out a book, relax during your break-time, or use our spaces to study and collaborate.
