Pizza + Books = A Fun Family Reading Night
The first “Family Reading Night” held last evening in the LRC brought over 130 parents and children to the library to spend time reading together. The combination of pizza, comfortable couches and good books contributed to the relaxed atmosphere of the evening.
The library was full of fathers and mothers reading with their children, parents wandering through the book collection, and librarians answering their questions. Story time included a reading of Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw’s book Same, Same but Different. Many parents and children left with stacks of library books in their arms.
Thanks to the parent community, teachers and students who came out to spend time together reading.
