Congratulations to the Read-a-thon Winners and thanks to everyone who participated and contributed in the 2017 LRC Dhahran Campus Read-a-thon! We were able to read a lot of books, raise over 36,000 SAR ($9,000 USD) for a regional charity, and have a fun time in the process. This year the Dhahran campus raised funds for the Collateral Repair Project (CRP), an organization which supports our refugee neighbors in Jordan. This year’s read-a-thon winners are listed below.
2017 CRP Read-a-thon Winners

Year 1 Winners: Izabella & Ziad
Mr. Johnson, Middle Primary/ Elementary Teacher-Librarian, invited the winners from each of his classes to attend a special picnic.
Year 4 Winners: Alishba, Omar, Suban, Cari & Isabelle.
Ms. Lehman, Upper Primary/ Elementary School Teacher-Librarian, hosted an all-night “Night in the Library” to the winning class. The winning class, for the second year in a row, was Ms. Liptrot’s Year 5 Red. Ms. Lehman and Ms. Donna hosted a pizza party, a scavenger hunt, and the opportunity to find (and meet!) Dewey the Dragon.
Honorable Mention: Special recognition goes to two students who went above and beyond in this year’s read-a-thon.
